BAJA SAE 2016 Results

The BAJA SAE India was launched in 2007 through the combined efforts of the Society of Automotive Engineers in India (SAEINDA). Dr.KC Vora and Dr Pawan Goenka, the Chairman of the steering committee launched the BAJA SAEINDIA in 2007. The history of BAJA can be traced down to the time when the Delhi College of Engineering students participated in the Mini Baja in 2002 and this was followed up by other brave endeavors by other institutions like VIT, SVNIT and RV College of Engineering who also took part in the subsequent editions of the international event.

SAEINDIA, a professional Society of Automotive Engineers in alliance with Mahindra and Mahindra Ltd.had declared the start of the event. The finale was held at NATRIP facility at Pithampur near Indore, from February 16 till February 21, 2016.

BAJA SAE 2016 ended with COEP being declared as the winner once again. The team won a total of 9 awards other than the win in the championship. The competition in 2016 was much more challenging compared to 2015. A more rigorous technical scrutiny was done. A total of 395 colleges/teams that attended the Virtual Baja but only 179 made it through to the main event.
