Cash App is one of the most popular digital wallets and payment apps in the United States. Owned by Square Inc, Cash App was launched as a direct competitor to PayPal and Venmo, and years after its launch, the P2P payment app has managed to acquire a significant portion of the market. Cash App allows you to choose between white and black colored cards and put a unique $Cashtag initials on the card.

  • Install Cash App on your device and register by entering the necessary details.
  • Open the Cash App on your phone.
  • Click on the card icon on the bottom left of the Cash App screen.
  • Tap “order”
  • Choose the color of your card.
  • Put a unique $Cashtag or a signature to personalize your card.
  • Enter the address at which you want the card to be delivered. 
  • Put in your date of birth.
  • Next, enter the last four digits of your SSN.
  • Confirm the details.
  • Tap Continue and you will be redirected to an “Add Funds” page. Here you can add cash into your Cash App account that you can use with your Cash App Card later. 

You must be over the age of 18 to be able to avail of a Cash Card from Cash App. 

Cash Card During Traveling

When you are traveling through the United States, the Cash App Card can be quite handy. You can use the money you have saved up in your Cash App account to purchase virtually anything as long as the store is eligible to accept a Cash Card. Retail stores that accept Visa are compatible with Cash App Cards. All you have to do is swipe your card and enter your security pin to make payments.

Moreover, you can use the Cash App Card at any ATM in the US to withdraw money. The best thing about using your Cash App Card for traveling is that you can save a certain amount of money in your Cash App account for all your expenses. If you are traveling with friends, you have the advantage to split the bills and pay right through Cash App without any hassle. 

Cash App can also help you sort your spendings and stay above your finances. You can add your monthly savings to your Cash App directly and be able to withdraw the amount using a Cash Card at any time you want.

Although Cash App Cards can not be used internationally, it can facilitate hassle-free traveling within the US and UK. However, you must make sure the retailers are accepting Cash Cards as payment methods before making any purchase.
