    Chhota Imambara, the Imambara of Hussainabad, is among the most beautiful and attractive buildings in the capital of Uttar Pradesh. Mohammed Ali Shah built this Imambara Shah in the second year of his rule in 1839. The building of the Hussainabad Imambara was supervised by the superintendent of the ordinance and building department of the King- Azim-Ullah Khan. There are several large and small domes in the imam bara which are glittering gold-plated and can be seen from far away. They are gorgeous enough to attract visitors from a far-off distance. At the entrance of the complex, there are two Tripolia (triple arched) gateways on the east and west sides. Situated in between them is a large gate that has a heavy door from where you can proceed to the compound that leads to the main hall and other apartments of the Imambara. There is a panjaemblem on the top of the main gate. This signifies the holy five of the Prophet Mohammed’s family. NaubatKhana, also known as JiloKhana, is located opposite the main gate. It is the place where large drums were beaten to announce the hour of the day which is also known as naubat.
