White River Rafting
White River Rafting in Sonmarg was flagged off in the year 2011 by the then CEO of Sonamarg Development Authority, Mushtaq Ahmed. There are 3 available stretched of wild water for rafting ranging from 3km, 10km to 15km run. A day long rafting experience can be enriched starting from Batkal and finishing at Shutkari Bridge in Sonamarg. Whether the person is novice or a trained adventure seeker, the stretches are sure to give the expected pleasure. The River Sindh has several spots which is open for training the novices. There are championships also which are organised in the spot. The fun quotient offered by the area is very high and thus the tourists also get attracted to visit the place so that their adventurous feeling is elevated. International Rafting Championships has been organised by the Tourism Department. Three other agencies are also attached with conducting and developing the rafting avenue for the tourists.
