Dras is a hill station in the Kargil district situated in Ladakh. Often called “The Gateway of Ladakh”, Dras sees a large number of high altitude trekking enthusiasts every year. It is located at the height of 3230 meters on the National Highway 1D leading to Srinagar. Dras is one of the coldest places in India. The temperature here drops to -45 degrees.
