    Situated 21 kilometers southwest of Surat, Dumas beach is a rural beach along the Arabian Sea. Dumas beach is famous for being among the top 35 most haunted places in India. Dumas beach is known for its black sand. Why is the sand black, you ask? Well…the ash of burnt dead bodies has mixed with the sand here to give it such a unique hue. During the day, this beach looks like any other beach. In the night, however, it becomes a beach out of a horror novel.
