Situated at a distance of 22 kilometres to the north of Udaipur, Eklingji Temple is one of the most significant points of devotion in Rajasthan. Dedicated to Lord Shiva, the temple shows amazing and wondersome architectural style, which is one of the reasons for a large number of visits this temple witnesses every year.
Established in 734 A.D by Bappa Rawal, Eklinji is considered to be the ruling idol of Mewar rulers. The temple is known for its distinct four-faced idol of Eklingji made of black marble. Upon entering the temple, one could experience the fragrance that resides there.
