    Located near Puri, Raghurajpur is a heritage crafts village known for its Pattachitra paintings and other forms of art like leaf and stone engravings. The place is also famous for the paie mache and Gotipua folk dance, which is a predecessor of the classic Odissi dance style. The culture of this village dates back to as early as 5 BCE. It is also the only village that produces Patas, a traditional decoration of the Jagannath’s throne.

     The village has around 120 houses, most of which are decorated with mural paintings, giving the village a unique look and feel. Some of the art and craft practised in the village include traditional masks, stone idols, papier mache, sculptures, and woodcraft.
