    The Arnold Arboretum was founded in 1872 when the President and Fellows of Harvard College were trusted with a portion of the state of James Arnold, a whaling merchant from Massasuchetts. The Arboretum is located in Jamaica Plane and Roslindale neighbourhood in the city of Boston. Expanded over an area of 281 acres and facilitating free admission from sunrise to sunset, the Arboretum is one of the most historically-rich points of tourist attractions in Boston.
