    The Sardar Government Museum in Jodhpur allows you access to the history and culture of Jodhpur. It was built in 1909 and is situated inside Umaid Public Gardens. The museum was built by Henry Vaughan Lanchester under the reign of Maharaja Umed Singh. The museum was opened for public visits in 1936 and since then has served as one of the most popular tourist attraction points.

    It accommodates around 400 sculptures, 10 ancient inscriptions, a large number of miniature paintings, terracotta artworks, ancient coins, metallic objects, arms, and various other objects of aesthetic appeal. There is also a separate history section facilitating military memorabilia which showcases tools, weapons, memorials, brass, and wooden models. Apart from that, the museum also offers a zoo and a library to its visitors.
